There will be fears at Manchester United over the seriousness of an injury suffered by Phil Jones during England’s match with Germany.
The defender had to be withdrawn midway through the first half of the game at Wembley.
Jones was struggling early on, with his leg heavily strapped before a ball had even been kicked.
He managed to last 25 minutes, in which time he made an amazing headed clearance off the line from a Leroy Sane effort.
He was replaced by Liverpool’s Joe Gomez.
Manchester United will hope the injury is nothing serious with fellow defender Marcos Rojo also currently unavailable. There are also doubts over Michael Carrick and Paul Pogba for their first game back after the international break, which is against Newcastle.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also sidelined but not expected back until nearer Christmas.
