A private investigator thinks he may have found Olivia Newton-John’s boyfriend, who went missing during a boat trip 12 years ago.
Patrick McDermott was declared dead in 2008 after having gone missing in 2005, with it being ruled he ‘most likely drowned by the United States Coast Guard.
Prior to that he had been involved in a 10 year on/off relationship with Olivia Newton-John.
The camerman had been taking part in a fishing trip near California with 22 other people on board – none of whom witnessed him allegedly fall over board.
However, in 2010 rumours surfaced he could have faked his death and that he was living in Mexico. And latest findings could confirm this, as Australian magazine New Idea claim to have photographic evidence that he’s alive.
They received an image from US media agency Coleman-Rayner of a man they say matches Patrick’s description.
The man allegedly appears to be Patrick’s age, 60, and his features match that of the missing cameraman.
PI Charlie Parker told the publication: ‘The widow’s peak is exact. The eyes are very similar and the ears extend down on the head the same distance. I believe it is him.’
